Many people, especially here in the south west have a lot of dust to worry about getting into their computer and causing problems. This is where computer cleaning and cleanliness come into play. Having a great computer is only as good as the steps you take to protect it, not just from viruses, but also from physical items that can cause it harm.
The following are a few tips to ensure the long life of your computer. The first and most important tip is NEVER spray liquid on any part of your computer. Though to many this sounds like common knowledge, but yet computers get ruined by trying to use household cleaning sprays on them everyday. If you use any liquid or spray, even water, apply it to a cloth first before using the cloth on the computer.
The second tip is use cloth or foam cleaning utensils. Cleaning a computer component with a paper towel or cotton swab can leave behind particles that get lodged in your computers parts. These particles can, in turn, cause your computer to overheat or even catch fire.
Third, you can use a vacuum to clean certain parts of your computer, but not all parts. You can use a vacuum to suck up dirt, dust, or hair around the computer on the outside case, but don’t use a vacuum for the inside of your computer because it generates a lot of static electricity. That electricity, in turn, can damage the internal components of your computer. If you need to use a vacuum to clean the inside of your computer, use a portable battery powered vacuum designed to do this job or try using compressed air. And remember, when cleaning a component or the computer, turn it off before cleaning.
Lastly, when cleaning, be careful not to accidentally adjust any knobs or controls. Also, when cleaning the back of the computer, if anything is plugged in, make sure not to disconnect any of the plugs.
When cleaning fans, especially the smaller fans within a portable computer or laptop it’s suggested that you either hold the fan or place something in-between the fan blades to prevent it from spinning. Spraying compressed air into a fan or cleaning a fan with a vacuum may cause damage.
Please keep in mind that cleanliness is next to Godliness, so treat your computer like the prized possession it is to you. Keeping your pc or laptop clean will help prolong the life span as well as protect your investment.

they started. Before 25GB ( gigabytes) was a lot of storage space, now a days an external hard drive should be no smaller than 1TB (Terabyte). *note*-A Terabyte is 1000 gigabytes. External hard drives can be as large as 3 terabytes and can transfer 480MB of content per second. Newer ones are even outfitted with USB 3.0, increasing transfer speeds dramatically over the older USB 2.0.

If your hard drive crash is caused by a malfunction of the hard drive itself (physical hard drive failure), there is still a very good possibility that your data is still intact and may be accessible. Physical failure of a hard drive is easy to tell by the noise the drive will make. You will hear a clicking, clacking, grinding or whirring noises coming from the hard drive. Careful to not mistake a broken fan as your hard drive, listen close to where the sound is coming from.
everyone (especially tech’s) understand the utter frustration of a broken computer, taking your emotions out on someone who neither programmed the software or created the hardware causing your stress; does not help anyone. So, take deep breaths and speak slowly and coherently.
screen of death, did the computer smoke or smell of smoke, virus warning, etc.
packaging a laptop requires, desktop operating systems are easier to access. With a laptop computer you must unscrew a lot more parts in a careful manor as not to damage any new components. A desktop PC has a much simpler and more easily removed protective case, which makes it quicker for the computer technician to identify the problem.
more money on repairing their device then they would buying a new one.
