Michael Hansmeyer’s origami algorithm will change the way we design new structures in architecture. Will make structures that are almost organic in structure. Maybe the next digital printers will be nanobots programmed to synthesize a structure from the ground up. At the micro scale a structure could be hollowed and built like a honey comb for strength or thermal resistant purposes.
